The survey is for all active regular payroll employees who have been with the organization over 90 days.
On October 1, eligible employees will receive an email invitation from Press Ganey with a unique link to take the survey. The survey is accessible online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until midnight on October 22.

This initiative, led by Dr. Andy Agwunobi, with the nursing component headed by Caryl Ryan and the Safety Culture Survey guided by Dr. Scott Allen, helps UConn Health leadership gain insight into employee perspectives. It allows us to identify areas for improvement and enhance our workplace culture. Leadership values your feedback and is committed to fostering a supportive environment where everyone feels they belong.
Your feedback from the survey has led to real improvements in the past, from enhancing our workspaces to strengthening support for our teams.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and covers topics related to the UConn Health employee experience, leadership, and organizational culture, along with open-ended questions for additional feedback.
This year, to streamline the process, we’ve combined safety culture questions and nursing excellence questions into one survey, eliminating the need for multiple surveys throughout the year. Physicians, dentists, and research faculty will answer a few extra questions tailored to their roles.
Yes, managers have been informed that all active regular employees are encouraged to take the survey on a work computer during work hours. We also encourage you to be proactive—ask your manager about the engagement survey and what it means for your team!
This feedback will guide leadership in making meaningful workplace improvements. The more employees who participate, the clearer and more accurate our understanding of the workplace culture becomes. Our goal is to reach at least a 65% participation rate to ensure we’re capturing the experiences and perspectives of the majority of our workforce.
