Seasons of Gratitude

At UConn Health, we are proud to have an exceptional team of clinical professionals, academic and research faculty and staff, and talented administrative units that work tirelessly to provide the highest quality care and support to our patients, students, and community. We want to take a moment to express our gratitude for their unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence.

Their hard work and passion for their respective fields set us apart and make our organization thrive. From the frontlines of patient care to the labs where groundbreaking research is conducted, our team constantly pushes boundaries and innovates to improve outcomes and advance our mission.

To acknowledge our workforce's exceptional commitment and dedication, as part of our Seasons of Gratitude program, we are excited to host our Employee Appreciation Week starting September 18. This year's theme is "Well-being, Well-connected Across UConn." This week-long event allows us to unite and celebrate each other's achievements, strength, and care.

We also believe that gratitude is an essential part of continuously building community. That's why we're excited to continue our Wall of Gratitude throughout the seasons, highlighting our workforce's positive impact. We also recognize Employee Awareness Days, Weeks, and Months to promote a culture of appreciation and gratitude.

At UConn Health, we encourage everyone to take time daily to express gratitude to a UConn Health colleague. We offer convenient vehicles such as our Wall of Gratitude and our eWOW /eRecognition cards to aid your gratitude practice. Our Wall of Gratitude provides a public platform for expressing appreciation and recognizing the contributions of others. Meanwhile, our eWOW and eRecognition cards allow you to send personalized messages of gratitude to colleagues and team members. Start enhancing your gratitude practice today with our vehicles.

November's Word of the Month: Integrity

This month's value is integrity. We're taught at a young age that integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. Demonstrating this is Laura Didden, a business services manager in our dental school's research program. Learn more about Laura, her role, and how her integrity is central to her program's success year after year.
