Zeiss Axiovert

The Departmental Microscope is a Zeiss Axiovert 200M microscope with an XYZ motorized stage and Apotome for optical sectioning. The fluorescent light source is the Colibri Illumination System, which uses LED’s. The LED and filter set combinations that we have are suitable for epifluorescent imaging of DAPI, FITC, Rhodamine, Texas Red, Cy5 and their comparable AlexaFluors 350, 488, 555, 568, 594, and 647. DIC and brightfield imaging are also available. We have 2.5X, 10X, 20X, 40X, 63X, and 100X objectives. A temperature controlled heated stage is also available. Axiovision software is used for image acquisition and processing. Additional licensed Axiovision software modules include Z-stack, Multichannel Fluorescence, Inside 4D, Mosaix, Mark and Find, Time Lapse, 3D Deconvolution, and Colocalization.
