Fellowship Programs

Sports Medicine Fellowship

The Family Medicine Sports Medicine Fellowship Program is an ACGME accredited program that accepts two fellows per year. Our program considers residents who have completed training in ACGME accredited residencies in family medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine. The fellows assist in the care of student athletes at the University of Connecticut. Learn more.

Geriatric Fellowship

The UConn Center on Aging sponsors a two-year fellowship in geriatric medicine for family physicians, internists and psychiatrists. Fellows develop clinical skills in caring for the elderly and learn research skills to execute a major publishable research project. The family medicine fellows are resources for our integrated geriatric curriculum, which occurs in a geriatric hospital unit, ambulatory practice and assessment center, skilled nursing facility, and the patients' homes. For more information, visit the Geriatric Fellowship page. Several of our recent residency graduates have completed the UConn geriatric fellowship (see Alumni page).
