Travel Information for Neuroscience

TRAVEL

Travel request(s) must be submitted to the Neuroscience office at least 3 weeks prior to your conference.

Please complete one of the two forms below, and submit to Sun Dutcher, dutcher@uchc.edu or Padma Bangalore, bangalore@uchc.edu.


Travel related expenses – What’s allowed on your personal credit card & what must be done through the Department of Neuroscience Office?

  • Memberships – NO personal credit card – please see Padma Bangalore or Sun Dutcher in the Department of Neuroscience Office on how to have this paid on your behalf.
  • Abstracts –   NO personal credit card – please see Padma Bangalore or Sun Dutcher in the Department of Neuroscience Office on how to have this paid on your behalf.
  • Registration – may be purchased on your own (reimbursed after the trip takes place with an approved TA), OR, an appointment may be made at the Bursar’s office to use their credit card, with an approved TA.  Please refer to the “Neuroscience Travel Request Form” or “Neuroscience Virtual Conference Request Form” above on what is needed to complete your travel authorization.
  • Airfare – may be purchased on your own, or purchased through UConn Health’s contracted travel agency, Sanditz (with an approved Travel Authorization).  The lowest coach ticket MUST be purchased. If we are purchasing your ticket through the travel agency, please refer to the “Travel Request Form” above on what is needed to complete your travel authorization.
  • Hotel – may be reserved on your own, or reserved through UConn Health’s contracted travel agency, Sanditz (with an approved Travel Authorization).  The lowest hotel must be reserved, given the proximity and taking into account any other expenses (cab/uber from hotel to conference, etc).  Please refer to the “Travel Request Form” above on what is needed to complete your travel authorization.
