Financial Support

Students in the Neuroscience Graduate Program may receive financial support from a variety of sources. Most students are initially supported by Research Assistantships from the Graduate Programs Committee (GPC), which currently provides student stipends for the first and second years. In subsequent years, stipends are provided by funds from Program faculty research grants.

Regardless of the source, however, the level of stipend support is identical for all students. The annual stipend, which is issued in bi-monthly payments, is $39,100 for all students within the Graduate School, irrespective of their year or Program of study. The financial support package also includes full payment of tuition and associated fees as well as health and dental insurance. Moreover, there is no teaching assistantship obligation associated with this stipend.
