Dr. Vijay Rathinam has been awarded an NIH R01 grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease entitled, “Cytosolic Immune Surveillance During Bacterial Infections” as well as a Charles H. Hood Foundation grant entitled, “Inflammatory Mechanisms in Enteric Bacterial Disease.”

Dr. Laura Haynes is an invited speaker at a Satellite Symposium on Immunosenescence of the 4th European Congress of Immunology in Vienna, Austria. She will speak on September 6th on influenza vaccines for the elderly, which is the main focus of her laboratory’s work.
