Cancer Immunology Research (the AACR journal devoted to Cancer Immunology) has named Dr. Pramod K. Srivastava of our Department a “Master of Immunology” in the September 2015 issue. Dr. Srivastava is also a Senior Editor of Cancer Immunology Research. View his article entitled “Neoepitopes of Cancers: Looking Back, Looking Ahead”.
Dr. Laura Haynes is an invited speaker at a Satellite Symposium on Immunosenescence of the 4th European Congress of Immunology in Vienna, Austria. She will speak on September 6th on influenza vaccines for the elderly, which is the main focus of her laboratory’s work.
Immunology graduate student Roslyn Taylor has received an American Heart Association fellowship studying microglial responses in recovery after intracerebral hemorrhage.
Dr. Linda Cauley is an invited speaker at the annual meeting of the Society for Leukocyte Biology in Raleigh, North Carolina from September 27-29, 2015. Her presentation during a special session for investigators with the highest JLB citations in 2014,will feature work from a recent JLB article entitled, “Lung-resident memory CD8 T cells (TRM) are indispensable for optimal cross-protection against pulmonary virus infection”.
Dr. Richard Zeff received the First Year Teaching Award at the School of Medicine’s Annual Spring Awards ceremony. Nominated by first year medical and dental students, this award recognizes Dr. Zeff’s teaching of the first year Basic Medical Sciences curriculum.
