06-28-2023. The 24th Annual on-site workshop on Computational Cell Modeling took place in Farmington for the 3 days, June 26-28. 11 participants across USA (from Maryland to Urbana-Champaign) came to develop their scientific projects using VCell and COPASI software tools. Students were helped by CCAM members –  Michael Blinov, Ann Cowan, Leslie Loew, Pedro Mendes, lon Moraru, Kelvin Perelson, Jim Schaff, Nathan Schaumburger, and Boris Slepchenko.

9-01-2021. Welcome to Dr. Sathyan Mattada, who is joining the faculty in CCAM and the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences. Dr. Mattada works in association with Michael Guertin’s lab exploring mechanisms of transcriptional regulation using inducible rapid degradation systems.

8-2-21. Lauren Marazzi and her teammates came in first place at the PhysiCell Workshop and Hackathon 2021. They developed PhysiPKPD, a standardized addon with user friendly implementation to PhysiCell for simulating pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Congratulations on your work!

7-06-2021. Please welcome our newest faculty member, Dr. Michael Guertin, who joins CCAM and the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences. Dr. Guertin’s laboratory uses genomics, biochemistry and computational biology tools to explore mechanisms of transcriptional regulation and regulatory cascades in hormonal signaling.
