Mission

This track is aimed to provide a structured path for Emergency Medicine residents interested in Sports Medicine to provide hands-on training, research opportunities, volunteer experiences, and professional networking to continue fostering interest in the field and further develop skills in evaluating and managing musculoskeletal medicine and concussions.

Goals

• Find Mentorship and research opportunities
• Work alongside the orthopedics and ultrasound department
• Create extracurricular didactic opportunities such as journal club, skills labs, simulation, and lectures

Tasks

• Complete a two-week elective at the Sports Medicine clinic
• Train in MSK radiology and ultrasound
• Be efficient in performing splints and reductions
• Attend Sports Medicine Journal Clubs
• Participate in teaching opportunities relating to MSK
• Attend longitudinal sports medicine event coverage
