Research and Scholarly Activities

Poster Presentation

Fellows in our program are assigned four months of research in rotations during their second year of training, and they are strongly encouraged to participate in scholarly activities throughout the entire course of their training. Faculty members at all four of our training sites are available to serve as research mentors to supervise protocol development, study conduct, data analysis, and final manuscript/abstract preparation. Our university’s statistician is also available to review methodology and statistical considerations. The Research section on the UConn Health GI division’s website provides a listing of the faculty’s current research studies.

Many of our fellows publish peer-reviewed manuscripts and textbook chapters and present their research in poster format at national meetings. They also participate in efforts such as QI projects and often get involved with ongoing IRB-approved clinical and translational research studies. We are proud of our fellows’ outstanding academic productivity; click on the links below to view their articles, chapters, and presentations.
