Message from the Program Director
Welcome to the website for the University of Connecticut Residency in Diagnostic Radiology. I hope you will find this site helpful in learning about our program.
Why should you consider applying to our program for diagnostic radiology training? Several reasons come to mind. We are a small academic practice within a community that demonstrates a wide breadth of pathology. Our residents work one on one with our faculty in the formative years of learning, without competition with fellows or feeling overburdened with case load. Although we strongly encourage research, the atmosphere is collegial and low-pressure, which allows for implementation of resident-driven academic pursuits.
The majority of our attendings are subspecialty-trained and are committed to education. Our program is dynamic, responding to the needs of residents as they arise. Given our small size, we are quite flexible in adjusting our curricula or work flow to optimize learning.
We are affiliated with one of the top state universities in the country. Pride in the university is rampant throughout the region. Not to mention access to the best college sports teams in the nation. Go Huskies!
Finally, we are a fun group. After work gatherings are commonplace, either just the residents as a group or including the attendings.
Please navigate our website to learn more about the program. We thank you for your interest and look forward to meeting you in the future!
