How to Apply

Available Positions – we are accepting applications for PGY4 fellow position starting July 8, 2023.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Applications must be submitted through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).  We do not accept applications outside of ERAS.
  • Applications must include: medical school transcript, MSPE or Dean’s Letter, three letters of recommendation, USMLE or COMLEX transcript, personal statement, photo and an ECFMG certificate (if applicable).
  • Applicants must have completed (or anticipated completion of) a three-year U.S. pediatrics residency prior to matriculation into the fellowship program.
  • All applicants must have completed and passed their Step 3 examination before entering fellowship.
  • UConn only accepts J-1 visas. They do not sponsor any other visa type.
  • Our ACGME program ID is 3340832002. You can use this ID to apply for our program.

SELECTION

  • We review applications using a Holistic Application Review approach as recommended by the AAMC.
  • We rank and/or select from eligible applicants based on a combination of their CV, letters of reference, USMLE scores, medical school and residency performance, and their overall interview, with blinding of data at different points in the application review cycle to ensure holistic review.

  • Interview Day Structure: Interviews are held virtually in early fall (September and October). Interviews are completed in a single half-day.
