Why hand surgery?
I decided to pursue hand surgery primarily based on the variety of procedures. It is very satisfying to transition between nerve work, fracture care, and soft tissue procedures within the same OR day. But even more so, it is very rewarding to be a part of the process of helping patients return to their work and hobbies, which depend upon their optimal hand function.

Why hand surgery?
I chose hand surgery for its intricate procedures and the complex anatomy and biomechanics of the hand. Each operation requires a high level of precision and detailed anatomical knowledge, which I find both intellectually and technically rewarding. The hand is not only a remarkable instrument of function but also a primary way we connect with others and engage with our environment. The opportunity to restore that function is deeply meaningful and continues to inspire my practice.
