Long Term Care Facility Fellows rotate with a clinical faculty member in a long term care facility one half-day per week through the fellowship year. Rotation is divided into two six-month blocks, with fellow rotating at one facility July-December and a second facility January-June. |

Cognitive Disorders Clinic Fellows rotate in an interdisciplinary Cognitive Disorders Clinic with focus on initial evaluations of patients presenting with cognitive symptoms. |

Geriatric Medicine Integrated Outpatient Clinic Fellows rotate with Geriatric Psychiatry faculty in an integrated clinic including Geriatric Medicine, Neuropsychology, Neurology, and Social Work. Twice monthly memory disorder rounds bring together those specialties as well as Radiology to discuss difficult cases. |

Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Fellows rotate as junior attending on the inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry service. Role includes leading rounds, supervising residents, and teaching medical students. |

Electroconvulsive Therapy During Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry rotation, fellows spend one to two mornings per week in the electroconvulsive therapy suite with faculty learning the principles and applications of electroconvulsive treatment. With faculty supervision, fellows perform electroconvulsive therapy on patients from both the inpatient and outpatient setting. |

Neurology Clinic Fellows rotate with a movement disorders specialist one half-day per week for three months. |

Palliative Care Fellows rotate one half-day per week for six months on an integrated inpatient palliative care service. |

Elective Fellows have one half-day per block protected for elective rotations. Fellows may design their elective based on their own clinical or academic interests. Examples include Assisted Living Facility, Huntington’s Disease Clinic, Neuropsychology, Neuroradiology, guided reading, medical student teaching, or additional research time. |

Research Fellows have one half-day per block protected for research. Fellows are required to complete a Quality Improvement project during their fellowship year, which may be done during research time. Additionally, fellows may choose to pursue a more intensive research project under mentorship of faculty, to prepare a manuscript (such as a case report or review article) for publication, or to prepare a presentation for a local or national meeting. |
