Dr. Gordon Brodie has been a Family Physician for 40 years in his Manchester practice. Dr. Brodie has combined “old school” with “high tech” medicine. He enjoys taking care of multiple generations of families and getting to know his patients. Dr. Brodie loves teaching the Manchester Memorial Hospital family medicine residents. Dr. Brodie has been married for 46 years, has two terrific kids and five wonderful grandchildren. He enjoys music, photography, hiking, traveling, reading and laughing.

Personal Information
Dr. Caputo obtained her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Emmanuel College and a Masters of Arts degree in biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College prior to attending medical school. She graduated from UMASS Medical School and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. After completing residency, she began a private primary care medical practice in Manchester, CT known as Manchester Medical Associates. Dr. Caputo practiced for 32 years before joining the ECHN Family Residency Program in 2013. In 2014, she became Medical Director of the Malta House of Care Medical Clinic after volunteering with them since 2006. This organization provides free medical care to the uninsured of the Greater Hartford Area. During her seven years as Medical Director, she remained a community medicine preceptor for the ECHN program. She officially retired in 2021 but remained interested in teaching residents so she became a per-diem preceptor for the ECHN Family Medicine Residency, now known as the UConn Family Medicine Residency at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Dr. Caputo now lives in Vermont where she is also a per-diem preceptor for the Dartmouth Hitchcock Internal Medicine Residency program. Her outside interests include reading, cross stitching and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Personal Information
Dr. Kate Zachau earned her medical degree from the LMU-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, an institution dedicated to serving underserved communities. During her training, she developed a strong interest in a functional approach to family medicine. She went on to complete her residency at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine Family Medicine Residency in Manchester, CT, which is now known as the UConn Family Medicine Residency at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Here she advanced her expertise in both traditional osteopathic medicine and functional medicine. In 2016, Dr. Zachau began practicing in a private setting, integrating functional medicine with primary care. She now operates her own functional medicine practice while continuing to provide primary care services. She has a special interest in supporting men and women through life transitions and longevity medicine. Dr. Zachau is an active member of the Connecticut Osteopathic Medical Society. Since 2019, she has served as Chair of the Family Medicine Department at Hartford HealthCare’s Greater Manchester Region, and since 2021, she has been involved in precepting residents in the family medicine clinic. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Zachau enjoys dancing, traveling, and gardening.
