Anne Kenny, M.D.  Director of Faculty Development

Anne Kenny, M.D., is the director of Faculty Development and chair of the Faculty Development Advisory Committee. She contributes to planning and is a presenter of faculty development training offered by the Office of Faculty Affairs.

Anne completed her Internal Medicine residency and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine here in 1992, and following a distinguished career as an active and well-appreciated clinician, teacher and mentor, retired from UConn Health in 2016. During her tenure, Anne was continuously funded for her clinical research in aging, frailty and osteoporosis, and served on countless committees, including Research Council and Dean’s Council. Among her notable accomplishments, Anne is credited with developing the Master of Science in Clinical and Translational Research program, and serving as its director from 2008-2016. She also served as associate program director for the Clinical Research Center from 2005 to 2016, and has led the Academic Leadership program for the Center on Aging.

In her role, Anne is responsible for conducting faculty development workshops and mentoring faculty regarding their academic advancement.
