Curriculum

Requirements for subspecialty certification by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Pulmonology are three years of full-time subspecialty training in pediatric pulmonology, including 16 months of clinical training and a minimum of 16 months of research training. Our three-year fellowship program strengths include:

  • Fellow Centered Program
  • Engaging and supportive group of pulmonologists, APRNs, RNs and RTs work together to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Fellows encouraged to manage and take ownership complex patients with shared mentoring from faculty
  • Fellows have 1:1 time with faculty mentors and preceptors for clinics; clinic preceptors never have more than 2 fellows per session
  • Opportunities to focus the curriculum based on individual career goals and developed their own specific interest
  • Protected time for didactics and fellows’ clinic to provide focused learning
  • Supportive learning environment, which provides fellows with faculty and program leadership invested in fellow well-being
  • 100% of graduated fellows have successfully passed their boards and were placed their desired career paths.
