Resources

All UCONN fellows have access to the UCONN Health Library online and in-person resources, including the services of UCONN Health Librarians who can assist with accessing library resources as well as the performance of expert literature searches.

The Connect Children’s Department of Research provides expert assistance with biostatistics and data extraction. Research oversight is provided locally by the Connecticut Children’s Scientific Review Committee and Institutional Review Board.

The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine employs a Research Coordinator to assist with new and ongoing studies. The ED Research Committee oversees ongoing projects, vets opportunities for cross divisional collaboration, and sets research priorities for the division.

The Undergraduate Research Associate Program (URAP) is a component of a UCONN undergraduate course on Clinical Research in which students participate as Research Associates in our division. The URAP students may approach and enroll patients and families in research studies as well as assist PEM fellows and faculty with retrospective chart reviews.
