Mission and Aims

The mission of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program is to train well rounded pediatric emergency medicine specialists who will improve the health of children and adolescents though clinical excellence, education, research, quality improvement, and advocacy.

Our Aims are:

  1. To create highly-skilled clinicians capable of providing high-quality emergency care to sick and injured children.
  2. To create excellent educators prepared share their expertise with trainees, colleagues, and the community at large.
  3. To create physicians capable of identifying gaps in our current knowledge and pushing that knowledge forward through clinical research.
  4. To produce graduates capable of leading within their team, their division, their hospital, and their community.
