Fellow-Well-Being

Fellow Wellness

Welcome to the UConn Health Hematology and Oncology fellow wellness page. As our valued Hematology and Oncology fellow, we acknowledge the demands and emotional toll of your work and understand your unique challenges. We are committed to providing resources and support to enhance your well-being throughout your journey.

Wellness Opportunities

  • Get together - Provide opportunities for fellows to meet outside of work to take a break from their demanding work, rejuvenate, and connect with nature.
    • Previous events our fellows enjoyed include UConn team basketball games, watching a baseball game, playing mini golf, BBQ picnic events, Dave and Buster's outings, muse paint bar, and casual dinners at West Hartford Center.
  • Wellness session - An oncology wellness session aims to promote the well-being of individuals working in the field of hematology and oncology.
    • We aim to introduce stress reduction techniques through mindful practices and strategies to encourage fellows to be in the moment and prioritize their health and well-being.
    • Create an environment where Hematology/Oncology fellows can connect with their peers, share experiences, and provide mutual support in a confidential and understanding environment.
  • Mentorship - Upcoming Fellows will be assigned a mentor/advisor to help guide them to reach their goals.
  • Holiday breakfast/gift exchange events.
