Application Information

Thank you for your interest in the University of Connecticut Health Center Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program. Our program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Submit your application through ERAS.

Applications must be received through ERAS by February 1 of the current year. If selected for an interview, you will be contacted by the fellowship coordinator via email or phone. Interviews take place in the months of April and May.

Program Requirements

Requirements of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship include:

  • Completion of previous Cardiology Fellowship
  • ABIM board certified or eligible status for Cardiovascular Disease
  • Completion and passing of all three USMLE steps
  • A valid ECFMG certificate for all foreign medical graduates
  • U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, and J1 visas only.

How to Apply

Positions starting July 2024 have been filled. Recruitment for positions starting in July 2025 will start in summer of 2024.

This recruitment process participates in the ERAS and the NRMP MATCH to fill positions that will start training in July 2025.

  • Medical School Diploma
  • Medical School Transcript

  • USMLE Transcripts – Steps 1, 2, and 3
  • If applicable, COMLEX levels 1-3

Interviews

Candidates selected for interviews will be contacted by the program in September. The interviews will be conducted via Zoom platform.

The UConn School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education Program does not process applications of individuals who are H1B visa holders.
