14th Annual Training Institute

A team of researchers from HDI presented at the 14th Annual Training Institute, organized by the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness (CCEH). The theme was ‘Ready for Zero: Innovative and Sustainable Solutions for Housing’. The presentation illustrated how to combine evidence by analyzing various data sources like HMIS, surveys, focus groups, case studies obtained from the same participants, through alternative means of collection. HD dimensions of the RRH program were also reported on.

Diversity and Health Equity Course

Drs. Fifield, Villagra and Coman have been guest lectures in a new course taught by Dr. Helen Wu, “Diversity and Health Equity,” in the Master of Public Health program at UConn Health. They presented current and recent Health Disparities work in: reducing disparities in African American communities, health insurance literacy, education and simplification, and modern health disparities methods.
