Application Information

The Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been approved by the ACGME for two forensic pathology fellowships in conjunction with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

We have 2 fellowship positions available to begin in July, 2027. In early July of 2025, ERAS will open for application materials to be uploaded for the 2027 fellowship.

The CT OCME Fellowship Program will be participating in the NRMP Match Program.

The ERAS application will require:

  1. CAP Common application
  2. A one-page personal statement
  3. Your CV with any gaps in your training.
  4. Three letters of reference including one from your pathology residency program director.
  5. Only J-1 visas are accepted by the University of Connecticut School of Medicine for those candidates who are not permanent residents.
  6. Registration for NRMP Forensic Pathology Match. NRMP Match Program

ERAS Opens to Begin Submitting to Programs – July 2025
Virtual Interviews for 2027 Candidates – January - March 2026
NRMP Match Opens – Early February, 2026
Ranking Opens – Mid-March, 2026
Ranking Closes – Mid-April, 2026
Match Day – End of April, 2026
