- PECOS is a Medicare requirement that allows practitioners to prescribe Durable Medicare Equipment (DME) — crutches, wheelchairs, braces, splints, needles or syringes.
- The GME office has already filled in a hard-copy PECOS application for you – all you need to do is sign it.
If you are coming to orientation…
…you will sign your PECOS application at the “Numbers” station. We will send the application in for you.
If you are not coming to orientation…
…you need to come see Melissa in the GME office to sign your application. We will then send the application in for you.
