Application Information

We are currently recruiting for a fellow to begin on August 1, 2024.  In order to be considered you must have all the program required qualifications listed below.

Updated CV, 3 Letters of Recommendation, 1 Personal Statement, USMLE step 3 Score, ECFMG certificate (if applicable)

Those interested in applying for start date August 1, 2025 should apply through ERAS. All required documents are listed below. Additionally, all applicants are required to register with NRMP.

Important dates to remember:

May 6, 2024: Applications will close on or around this date
June 10, 2024: 1st interview notifications begin.
Interviews: UConn Health CFP Fellowship Program will conduct interviews virtually on the following dates:

Thursday, July 25, 2024, 12:00pm EST
Thursday, August 8, 2024, 12:00pm EST
Wednesday, August 21, 2024, 7:30am EST

September 11, 2024: Applicant rank lists must be submitted to the NRMP.
September 25, 2024: Applicants are notified of their match via email. If an applicant does not match, they are eligible to participate in a scramble with unmatched sites.
August 1, 2025: Fellows begin their first year of Fellowship.

All applications must be made through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and must include the following:

  • CV
  • Three current letters of recommendation
  • A personal statement
  • USMLE Step 3 score
  • ECFMG Certificate (international medical graduates only)
  • Photo

Program Requirements

  • Must have completed ACGME accredited residency program or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited program.
  • Eligible to take the written and oral exam for certification in general Obstetrics and Gynecology administered by ABOG.
  • International medical graduates must hold a valid ECFMG certificate (this does not apply to Canadian graduates).
  • Applications from U.S. citizens, U.S. residents, J-1 visas sponsored by ECFMG, and Employment Authorization Documents are accepted.
  • Applications with J-1 visa are not acceptable.

Interviews are by invitation only and selected candidates will be notified via email.

Please be aware that UConn School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education programs do not sponsor “H” or “O” visas. Permanent resident (green card), J-1 visas sponsored by ECFMG, and employment authorization documents are accepted.
