Faculty members

Through the Community Based Education Program, medical students work with more than 150 community programs located across numerous Connecticut towns.


89 Master in Public Health students are enrolled in the Program in Applied Public Health Sciences. The majority of students (approximately 75 percent) are enrolled on a full-time basis.


Through the Alcohol Research Center at UConn Health, researchers in the Department of Public Health Sciences have developed a training academy that prepares health professionals in primary care settings to conduct  screenings, brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT) for alcohol misuse, nicotine addiction, and use of illicit drugs.
