Nephrology Fellowship

The Division of Nephrology at UConn Health has a long tradition of excellence in patient care, teaching and research.

The fellowship is a two-year program and training begins on July 1. Our curriculum meets the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and incorporates the ACGME competencies: patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning, communication skills, professionalism and system-based practice.

Our Nephrology program has been ranked by this year’s U.S. News and World Reports as High Performing in Kidney Failure. “Over 6,000 hospitals were evaluated and eligible hospitals received one of three ratings -- high performing (1,000 hospitals), average (1,460 hospitals) or below average (950 hospitals) with the balance either not offering the service or performing too few of the procedures to be rated. Hospitals that earned a high performing rating were significantly better than the national average.” Visit the U.S. News website for detailed information.
