UCHC User Login Issues

For UCHC Users, your REDCap login (username and password) is the same as your institutional login and cannot be reset by us.

For issues logging in, please see the troubleshooting remedies below:

  1. If you recently created your REDCap account, and have not logged into REDCap before, please make sure you have fully activated it – the verification link sent to your email must be confirmed before you can log in.
  2. Please make sure you are entering the correct username and password.
  3. Do not copy and paste your credentials into the REDCap login boxes.  Your user ID and password must be typed in.
  4. Your network credentials are case-sensitive. Check the basics such as cap lock or number lock issues.
  5. Ensure that your UConn Health password has not expired – you can test this by rebooting your work computer.
  6. If you recently changed your UConn Health password, please try rebooting your computer before logging into REDCap.
  7. If you have attempted to log in 3 times incorrectly, your account will be temporarily locked, and you will need to wait 5 minutes to try again.
  8. If none of the above have worked then please try to log in to another UCH online service that uses your same network credentials, such as outlook.office.com or itowa.uchc.edu. If you are unable to log into any of those websites, then that may mean your account is permanently locked or your password has expired. In this case, contact the UCH IT service desk at (860) 679-4400.
  9. If you are logging in from outside the UConn Health network, then please be sure you have the DUO 2FA set on your phone and that you can respond to the push notification. For assistance with DUO, please contact the UCH IT service desk at (860) 679-4400.
  10. If none of the above remedies resolve your login issues, contact the UCH IT service desk at (860) 679-4400 and ask that your institutional password be reset.

FYI: The REDCap password reset link is only for non-UConn Health users.
