Caps and Gowns

Congratulations Graduates!

Dear graduates of the UConn School of Medicine, UConn School of Dental Medicine, and the UConn Health Graduate School programs,

In a few months you will be graduating and one of the important pieces of that celebration is your commencement regalia. You may place your order now to ensure the receipt of your cap and gown in time for celebrating your accomplishment with your family and friends. It will also allow for graduation portraits to be taken prior to the ceremony.

Faculty Regalia

If you wish to participate as a faculty member, please note the information related to ordering regalia for the ceremony. There are two options.

Purchase New Regalia - $150.00

You may purchase regalia which will be brand new, unworn and yours to keep for use now and in the future. The full package includes a doctoral robe, hood with your degree colored velvet and chevron in the colors of the institution from which your degree was obtained along with a cap and tassel. To make the purchase, visit the Faculty Regalia website. Your items will ship to the UConn Health Bookstore.

Please contact Matthew Marrotte at the UConn Health Bookstore, 860-679-2332  or mmarrotte@uchc.edu with any questions regarding your order.

Rentals - $106.00

If you opt for rental regalia, you can place the order by visiting the Faculty Regalia website. Your items will ship to the UConn Health Bookstore.

You will need to return the rental regalia to the UConn Bookstore on the Storrs campus following the ceremony on May 6. Returns of rented regalia cannot be accepted by the UConn Health Bookstore. If you rent regalia, you may want to park in the South Garage as it is nearest to the UConn Bookstore and will make the return process easier.

The deadline to place the regalia orders using either option is March 1, 2024.

Important: If you plan to participate but do not need to order regalia please contact Lisa Francini at francini@uchc.edu to confirm your participation. This is necessary to reserve a seat for you on the stage.
