The Office of Student Affairs and Activities plans and facilitates the “outside the classroom” activities and events for students on the UConn Health campus.
The Student Affairs Officer provides support to Medical Dental Student Government (MDSG), works with and advises student organizations, interest groups and sports clubs by assisting with room scheduling for activities, transportation to off-site events, catering orders, payments to vendors and indoor sports venues, meetings and fundraisers, event announcements and promotions, calendar updates, and the collection of fees for special events. In addition, the office plans and coordinates annual events and activities that include new student orientation/Launch, activities fair, Convocation, South Park Road Race, the white water rafting and ski trips. Other annual events include Winter Formal Dinner and Dance, The Gong Show, Holiday Party, Senior Week social events, and Commencement.
