Grants and Funding

The Department of Medicine receives more than $10 million in research grants each year to fund the basic, clinical, and translational research activities of our faculty. Our funding comes from varied sources including federal, state, and private funding. Our researchers also collaborate and receive funding support from many other universities and public agencies on common research interests and projects.

UConn Health has various internal funding opportunities available for faculty through programs such as the SPARK Technology Commercialization Fund and the Health Center Research Advisory Council (HCRAC) Emergency Grant Program.

We encourage you to visit the Research Resources page for links to funding databases and other helpful information about our research.
