Jessica P. Hollenbach is co-director of the Asthma Center at Connecticut Children’s and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Hollenbach received her doctorate in biomedical science from the University of Connecticut and is a certified asthma educator. Her research interests include understanding the prenatal and developmental origins of childhood asthma to better prevent disease onset and improve asthma management in communities that bear a disproportionate burden of disease. Working within an ecological framework of environmental, social, and microbiological interactions she is developing a research area that will address the second largest chronic disease affecting children in the U.S.
