Our Dentists

Individuals wishing to receive dental care should request a screening appointment.

During the screening appointment, your medical and dental history will be reviewed. You will receive a dental evaluation to determine your overall dental needs.

There is a fee for the screening visit and additional charges for any x-rays that are needed. If you have had recent dental x-rays, please bring them to your appointment.

Following your screening visit, your dental record will be reviewed and you will be referred to one of our patient care areas based upon your dental needs.

Your next visit will be with your provider who will complete a detailed examination and develop a plan of treatment suited to your needs. An estimate of treatment costs will be provided.

The length of time to complete dental treatment will vary from patient to patient. The number and length of visits can be expected to be greater in the predoctoral student clinics as dental students work at a slower pace than dentists or residents.

Our fees are lower than private practice fees. The fees in the predoctoral student clinic are lowest because the length of time to complete treatment is greater.

You will receive an estimate for all treatment before it is performed.

Payment for care is expected at the time of the visit. Patient services representatives are available to meet with you and review all financial arrangements.

We accept cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard.

The UConn School of Dental Medicine participates with most insurance companies and will submit insurance claims on your behalf.

You can expect to receive the highest quality of care and can expect to be treated with respect and compassion. You can expect to be informed of all aspects of your treatment and participate in discussions about your treatment.
