Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars Program graduates are among the program's most valuable resources. Since its inception in 2007, more than 660 scholars and residents have participated in the program which has expanded to encompass two universities, four campuses and six disciplines. The UST/AHEC Scholars Program is now seen as an exemplary program that focuses on giving health professions trainees enhanced learning opportunities and serves as a regional and national model for academic and community partnerships that embrace interprofessional education and service-learning.
