At the Women’s Center for Motion and Performance, we provide comprehensive care for women of all ages who may be struggling to get active or stay active due to pain or other health challenges. Whether you’re a high school athlete looking to improve your performance or someone seeking to keep active as you age, our multidisciplinary team is here to provide personalized guidance and support.
Our unique and innovative approach to healthcare includes our nurse navigator. With someone who can understand their unique challenges and guide them through their healthcare journeys, our patients feel supported and empowered to achieve their wellness goals.
What Makes Women Patients Different?
Women are more susceptible to certain injuries, especially anterior knee pain, osteoarthritis, concussions, stress fractures, and ACL tears.
Women are also more affected by various physiologic processes, and, unfortunately, gender bias in medicine exists.
The Women’s Center for Motion and Performance aims to address women's unique differences and challenges.
By focusing on understanding and addressing these differences, the center can tailor treatments and interventions to better meet the needs of female patients. This may involve specialized rehabilitation programs, injury prevention strategies, and educational initiatives aimed at promoting musculoskeletal health in women.
