GSO Events FAQs:
How do I sign up for an activity? Click the link to go to the sign-up webpage to reserve your spot at GSO-sponsored events. All costs for the event must be paid to GSO by the RSVP date. No exceptions will be allowed. There will be no refunds after the RSVP date.
Why are there fees for some events? The GSO has a limited budget for activities. Charging a fee allows us to plan really fun things for you all at a fraction of the cost. We also try to balance events we charge a fee for with events that are free and just as fun!
Why can’t I get a refund? To plan these events we make reservations in advance so we can get special group rates, which are non refundable to us. We understand that lab (and life) happens, so if you have circumstances where you can’t make a trip, try and find a fellow student to take your place!
Can I bring friends or family who aren’t graduate students? Friends and family are more than welcome at GSO events in public venues! However, they must pay for themselves as we cannot use GSO funds to sponsor activities for non-graduate students.
