- Adults from households earning less than $35,000 per year reported the highest percentage of smoking (21.2%) in 2018.
- Those with a household income of $75,000 or more per year reported the lowest percentage of smoking (7.4%) in 2018.
- From 2017 to 2018, the percentage of adults who smoked increased by 1.3% for those earning less than $35,000. There was a decrease of 2.0% for those earning $35,000 to $74,999, and a slight decrease of 0.2% in the $75,000+ income bracket.
