- The percent of adult Connecticut residents who smoke varies by insurance type. In 2018, of adult Connecticut residents who smoked, 26.2 percent were covered by Medicaid, 19.7 percent had no insurance coverage, 13.3 percent had Other/Unknown insurance, 11.0 percent were covered by Medicare, and 8.9 percent had private insurance.
- The percentage of individuals with no insurance coverage had the largest percentage decrease (7.2%) between 2015 (26.9%) and 2018 (19.7%).
