Summary of Results
- Insurance type varied among adult Connecticut residents who smoke. In 2018, of adult Connecticut residents who smoked, 26.2% were covered by Medicaid, 19.7% had no insurance coverage, 13.3% had Other/Unknown insurance, 11.0% were covered by Medicare, and 8.9% had private insurance.
- Individuals with no insurance coverage showed the largest decrease (7.2%) in smoking between 2015 (26.9%) and 2018 (19.7%).
