Information for All Enrolled Graduate, Medical, and Dental Students

The UConn Health Bursar’s Office on the Farmington campus manages the cashiering, collection, and student account functions of students enrolled in graduate, medical, and dental programs at UConn Health. Students may visit the UConn Health Bursar’s Office to pay fee bills and to seek clarification related to University charges.

Tuition and Fees

Current tuition and fee rates for graduate students are available for 2024-25. Please note that graduate students enrolled in UConn Health programs are not charged the transit, general university, or technology fees.

Current tuition and fee rates for medical students are available here and for dental students are available here.

Financial Responsibility

Students who fail to pay their outstanding balance by the specified due date, as stated on the UConn Bursar’s Office website, may be barred from all privileges normally accorded to a student in good standing. These include but are not limited to registration, class attendance, advisement, library, certification-of-status, and academic transcript privileges. Additionally, any pending UConn employment authorization may not receive approval or may be subject to cancellation. If a graduate student does not meet his or her financial obligation to the University by the first day of classes on The Graduate School academic calendar for a given semester or by the expiration date of an approved deferment, cancellation of the student’s registration and student privileges may result. It is the student’s responsibility to resolve questions related to billing.

Graduate Student Health Plan

Graduate, medical and dental students (excluding Graduate Assistants–see below) at UConn Health are offered the University of Connecticut’s Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). The SHIP is administered by Consolidated Health Plans, Inc. and has contracted with Cigna for the plans provider network of hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers. Students covered by the SHIP also have access to a vision discount program and travel assistance program.

Graduate Assistant Health Plan

The Connecticut Partnership Plan is available to all eligible UConn Health Graduate Assistants, Graduate Fellows and Postdoctoral Trainees.

IMPORTANT: Please note, enrollment and waiver forms are distributed by the UConn Health Human Resources and The UConn Health Bursar’s Offices. ***Do not*** submit the electronic enrollment or waiver form available on the UConn Storrs Human Resource website.

Methods of Payment

There are several options to pay your Online Term Fee Bill:

  • Paying by Credit Card
The University accepts credit card payments via the Internet only. Credit card payments are not taken at the Bursar’s Office or via telephone. Students (via the Student Administration System) and Authorized Users (via the Online Bill and Payment System) can make a payment with VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB, BC Card, DinaCard and Diner’s Club. A 2.75% non-refundable convenience fee will apply to your transaction. This convenience fee is required to offset the expense of offering credit cards as a payment option and is paid directly to the credit card processor.
  • Paying by E-Check (ACH)
An electronic check using the E-Check system is another efficient method of payment. This service is provided free of charge by the University. E-Check payments can also be transacted directly through the Student Administration System. Students may simply login and proceed to SA Self Service> Student Center> Finances> Make a Payment and then click the “Pay by Electronic Check” button. There is no cost for this service. Please follow the directions and read the terms and conditions carefully when making an electronic payment. A returned E-Check will be assessed a $30.00 charge.
