Neuro-Ophthalmology
Neuro-ophthalmologists are trained in both ophthalmology and neurology, so they have a thorough understanding of both systems and how they interact. Neuro-ophthalmic conditions include optic neuritis (inflammation of the optic nerve), optic neuropathy, pseudotumor, diplopia (double vision), nystagmus (involuntary eye movement), and many more. The neuro-ophthalmology division at UConn Health works closely together with a team of specialists from various specialties when needed to provide you with the best possible care.
