UConn School of Medicine, Class of 2021

I was born in Columbus, Ohio and raised in Farmington, Connecticut. I graduated from Amherst College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Certificate in Culture, Health and Science.

In college I volunteered for the National Health Service in London. As a clinical volunteer, I conducted psychiatric patient consults and conducted a regional performance improvement assessment of mental health services. Prior to attending medical school, I worked as a Business Analyst at Deloitte Consulting, where I worked in allied roles with healthcare executives and providers to facilitate the implementation of an electronic medical record system.

The Urban Service Track because it will provide me the opportunity to work with underserved patient populations, gain early clinical exposure, and build the foundation for a career focused on addressing healthcare disparities. Through my healthcare experiences up to and including the UST, I hope to use my medical insights and community acumen to serve as an intermediary between the spheres of medicine and public health to assist both in finding and implemented solutions to disparities in access to quality healthcare.
