Ryan Parker
Quinnipiac University Physician Assistant Program
I grew up in a small town called Winthrop, MA, right outside of Boston. I received my undergraduate degree in 2024 through Quinnipiac University’s Entry-Level Master’s in Physician Assistant program, with a minor in biochemistry.
Throughout my time as an undergraduate student, I worked as a home health aide (HHA) in a complex-care medical foster home. I also spent time working as an HHA in hospice care. In addition, I have enjoyed volunteering with WINARC, which organizes group events and activities for adults and children with a variety of disabilities.
In joining UST, I hope to gain an understanding of the different factors that should be considered to make sure that all patients are receiving individualistic, quality care. I want to learn how to utilize tools and resources to decrease the barriers to healthcare, ensuring that all individuals are able to receive the care they need. Through a combination of clinical knowledge and skills from UST, I hope to practice medicine as a provider who is invested in my patient’s success. I am eager to collaborate with other healthcare students and providers to form a deeper knowledge of the issues within our healthcare system today, and to be a part of a group working to find sustainable solutions.
