Roxanna Monshi

UConn School of Pharmacy

I was born and raised in South Windsor, Connecticut and attended UConn for my bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. I am currently a P3 pharmacy student working towards my Pharm.D degree.
I have experience working in community pharmacies as a Walgreens pharmacy intern, and in hospitals at Yale New Haven Hospital. I sought to get involved with the Urban Service Track/AHEC Scholars (UST/AS) Program because of the program’s focus on improving patient care for underserved populations. I am excited to acquire clinical skills through this program that will help me develop into a pharmacist prepared to tackle the challenges and adversity associated with working among populations of various backgrounds. In the future, I would like to build strong connections with my patients in order to ensure that they adequately understand their medications and that their health outcomes are optimal. I also hope to pursue a PGY1 pharmacy residency to further solidify my clinical training as a pharmacist.
