UConn School of Dental Medicine
I am from Westborough, a small town in central Massachusetts. I am also a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.
I am passionate about being part of my community and learning about how I can be an ally and address the overall needs of my patients. I have volunteered at several food pantries, served as a peer mentor, and worked as a dental assistant. I’m proud of my commitment to service, and I’d love the chance to incorporate that into our mission as UConn Dental students.
As an undergrad, I spent four years in my university’s largest service-learning organization, going on to lead it for the last three semesters of my studies. From my experience with advocacy, I’ve learned the importance of listening and taking action to drive meaningful change. To truly make an impact, it takes someone with a big heart, compassion, and skill. By finding out about other people’s perspectives, I expand my own world and mind, build friendships, and make the world a better place.
As a dentist, I want to successfully diagnose patients and deliver appropriate care. I want to provide equitable care to all and be respectful of my patients’ identities. It doesn’t matter who or what they are. I want to be able to provide the care that they need for their particular problems without personal biases overriding judgment. UST thrills me as an opportunity to learn more and serve the needs of my community as I continue to grow as a person and a future dentist.
