UConn School of Pharmacy, Class of 2020

I was born and raised in Atkinson, NH, a very small town in southern New Hampshire. I am currently an undergraduate student and in my second year at the School of Pharmacy.

I participated in an alternative break trip to Birmingham, Alabama with the focus of Urban Poverty & Civil Rights. While there, our group of 45 Uconn students had the chance to serve this underserved population. This included assembling bicycles that could be used for those who could not afford transportation, putting together toiletry bags for nursing homes and organizing meals for elementary school students who showed signs of hunger. Additionally, I am involved in Lambda Kappa Sigma, a professional pharmacy fraternity, and Community Outreach so I’ve had experience assisting underserved populations within our area.

I have always had the passion to work in the healthcare field so I can help others. I am a strong advocate for healthcare equality to overcome the disparities that specific areas in our country faces. Through the Urban Service Track, I aim to improve and make lasting changes in our community whilst collaborating with several other healthcare professionals. Each medical professional brings new talents and specialties to the table to help manage medical diagnoses and treatment. I look forward to building relationships with these professionals assist in the future.
