Nicole Pulie
UConn School of Pharmacy
I am a P2 (second professional year) student in the PharmD program at the University of Connecticut. I will be graduating in the spring of 2025 with my bachelor’s degree in pharmacy studies and intend to graduate in the spring of 2027 with my PharmD degree.
I was born and raised in Orange, CT. I have volunteered in the New Haven school system as a teaching assistant, as a camp counselor at an all-inclusive camp, and as a supervisor to children visiting UConn from Windham Heights. I am also a pharmacy intern at Milford Pharmacy in Milford, CT.
I decided to join UST to grow my knowledge of how to provide exceptional care to various populations of patients. I wanted to gain experience working in interprofessional teams and see how that translates into better patient care. I would like to further my education in how to approach situations that involve patients with specific needs and how to properly treat those needs. I hope to make a difference in the state of the healthcare system by treating the whole patient rather than just the disease or illness. I want to contribute to change by creating an open environment where patients feel secure enough to be vulnerable while discussing their treatment. Further, I’d like to work with my peers in other professions to collaborate and be sure our patients experience the same level of comfort in every aspect of healthcare they encounter, while fully understanding their idea of optimal treatment.
