Background: New York native, raised mostly in Manhattan’s Chinatown community. Attended University of Maryland but completed degree in biochemistry at Hunter College. Also plans to pursue a master’s degree in public health.

Related experience: Migrant farm visits. Various community service projects as member of New York Cares.

“Since I grew up in a community where oral health was under emphasized, one of my goals is to promote oral health awareness in other such communities. Participating in UST is a step toward achieving my professional goals. I will be able to gain experience working with the underserved while developing a more comprehensive view of healthcare as a whole.”
