Maya Biblow
UConn School of Nursing
My name is Maya Biblow. I was born and raised on Long Island, NY, and graduated from Walt Whitman High School in 2022. I’ve worked as a camp counselor, assisted in food services, and have interned with St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center through its Healthcare Career and Exploration Program. The internship included weekly lectures from various healthcare professionals, a group project with peers on a chosen health disparity, and surveys regarding personal health concerns that were given to each individual to distribute to the community. This program has, without a doubt, shaped me into the person I am today, unearthing my passion for helping those who are underserved and cultivating resolutions to prevalent health challenges with peers. I knew immediately that UST was the perfect opportunity to continue highlighting health discrepancies that communities face and to be part of the work to help those populations. I want to be a nurse who is able to provide holistic care for a variety of people, and I know this program is going to give me the skills and knowledge to do just that.
